Post # 19- READING, DISCUSSION, AND GRQ – ANNE COLLINS GOODYEAR LAUNCHING "HYBRID PRACTICES"IN THE 1960s On the Perils and Promise of Art and Technology

 Reading-

The meaning of "hybrid practices," could mean many things. In art though, it means being able to combine many minds and resources to create something better than just "art." Art doesn't have one definition. If art can be anything why is there even such thing at the word "ART?" Th hybrid practices question new media and practices that we cannot define or put into one category because art is ANYTHING and will forever be anything. 

Discussion-

Dimensions of dialogue was very confusing and weird. The first video was different objects being built into globs of a lot of random stuff and they eat each other up and slowly make clay. In my opinion this means that anything can be art. It will slowly be something one day. This second video was clay male and female fighting and slowly they have relations but then have a fight and demolish each other. This means that maybe they had an unwanted child or relationships aren't always perfect. The third video is a person perfect routine. Because we are human nothing will ever go to plan. It will never be the same routine every day.

 Post #2- Raul Cuero I very much agree with Raul Cuero. Being able to innovate is having something added onto, but being able to invent is way more important because we get to be a part of something new.  Everyone can be creative especially those who want to invent something are more creative than those who want to innovate on something that has existed. Everyone has their own creative mind and I agree with what he said over being you and your own inventor.  In my daily life, I can apply what Raul said, by being able to not follow instructions that were given but being able to innovate them and apply and invent new ones that can get me a better end result. MIDTERM 211-3- Group 5

 Fauvism Link to presentation: Media Arts Mid Term - Google Slides Fauvism was inspired by the Post-Impressionist movement. The art included bold colors, non-naturalistic depictions, and textured brushwork. The art was very EXPRESSIVE!! The art gave any object, person, or landscape new colors that people were not used to seeing. The Lauren Bacall that Tim painted with oils, varnish, acrylic, spray paint and gloss may not exactly be the materials that 20th century artists used, but the end result is a revolutionary one.
