Article on Creativity:
Why are many people creative? Everyone has some capacity of creativity. It doesn't have to be your career or personality, but we are all creative in our own ways, and our daily lives as well. Like the article states "Importantly, we found that people who did better on this task also tended to report having more creative hobbies and achievements". With this statement, the idea that comes up is "What are my creative hobbies?" My idea on creativity comes from being able to do things that maybe others don't perceive as creative or outside of the box. The brain is a wonderful thing that we use every day. The study in the article provides the statement that the brain has three parts that work together or separately at different times and for different things. Like the article says "does taking drawing classes lead to greater connectivity within these brain networks?"

Discussion:
The Greek Amphitheatre was a very evolutional and history changing structure that changed the perspective on performances and the audience and performer/thespian relationship. The biggest difference between the Greek Amphitheatre and the Native American Structures/way of living is the structure of the theatre itself. It brought new terminology to the light and became used for later generations and performers. A chorus was introduced to help elevate the idea of storytelling during a performance. The Native Americans used their open environment to perform their native songs. The Greeks had actors/actresses and had the chorus to help keep the audience informed. The Greeks really helped with the evolution of the arts, with the help of the Natives of course.

MIDTERM 211-3- Group 5

 Fauvism Link to presentation: Media Arts Mid Term - Google Slides Fauvism was inspired by the Post-Impressionist movement. The art included bold colors, non-naturalistic depictions, and textured brushwork. The art was very EXPRESSIVE!! The art gave any object, person, or landscape new colors that people were not used to seeing. The Lauren Bacall that Tim painted with oils, varnish, acrylic, spray paint and gloss may not exactly be the materials that 20th century artists used, but the end result is a revolutionary one. Post #8- Lecture-Renaissance

 Lecture-Rennaissance The Rennaissance started in Florence, Italy. The paintings were muted, the colors were muted, and there were rules to what classified an artist as an Artist. The biggest rule was to add black to paintings to make everything stand out. They also used white to create movement in the paintings. Something called the Humanist Philosophy means people have the worth.   The Rennaissance means "rebirth", and it introduced the idea of "Humanism." Humanism came through more realistic, more 3-D, background perspectives, and more color. Byzantine art mimicked more symbolism over reality. Backgrounds were typically Gold, and they had large person in the center of the painting because they were important.  Early Rennaissance brought many painting techniques, and very famous painters and sculptors.
