Post #3- Creativity Article- GRQ and Discussion

Article on Creativity, GRQ's, and Discussion Post

Article on Creativity:
Why are many people creative? Everyone has some capacity of creativity. It doesn't have to be your career or personality, but we are all creative in our own ways, and our daily lives as well. Like the article states "Importantly, we found that people who did better on this task also tended to report having more creative hobbies and achievements". With this statement, the idea that comes up is "What are my creative hobbies?" My idea on creativity comes from being able to do things that maybe others don't perceive as creative or outside of the box. The brain is a wonderful thing that we use every day. The study in the article provides the statement that the brain has three parts that work together or separately at different times and for different things. Like the article says "does taking drawing classes lead to greater connectivity within these brain networks?"

Discussion:
The Greek Amphitheatre was a very evolutional and history changing structure that changed the perspective on performances and the audience and performer/thespian relationship. The biggest difference between the Greek Amphitheatre and the Native American Structures/way of living is the structure of the theatre itself. It brought new terminology to the light and became used for later generations and performers. A chorus was introduced to help elevate the idea of storytelling during a performance. The Native Americans used their open environment to perform their native songs. The Greeks had actors/actresses and had the chorus to help keep the audience informed. The Greeks really helped with the evolution of the arts, with the help of the Natives of course.

Post #18- LECTURE - ELECTRONIC MEDIA and PERFORMANCE

Experimental film is performance art with a camera. It doesn't have to tell a story, or it doesn't have to have a message. It can relate to deep feelings or messages, or it can also be very boring. It was social and personal expression. There was no wrong answer. 9 evenings and theatre and engineering were becoming performance and technology. It was Avant Garde. Anything is art. Scientists began to create art. EAT (experience art and technology) was many people coming together to create art. It showed collaboration of art and technology. Electronic art works with technology! Father of video art Naum June Paik purchased the first Sony portapak. He created a brand-new art form.... Video Art. He also created the Magnet T.V. The electronic superhighway was to say that someday we will be able to connect from anywhere. David Halls TV interruptions was an installation of seven video works that were initially commercials, but it was to just relax and leave the world for a couple of mi...

STORYTELLING PERFORMANCE

To start my storytelling performance, I will be in a dark room with only faint light gleams.  I will start with a very subtle authority taking voice.  Story: The Native Americans, the beginning. Outdoors and survival. The Romans. The colosseum with Outdoor entertainment. The pantheon. The Indoor entertainment. Byzantine Architecture. Hagia Sophia. Gothic Cathedral, the shape of a cross. St peters square brought the St Peters Basilica. Baroque Architecture. Baroque Theatre. The fourth wall was created. Baroque Operas. Music with dialogue. Farinelli, a revered singer. John Cage believed anything could be music. The Renaissance. High authorities were painted in the center. The rebirth that brought Humanism. Early or High Renaissance one with the body the other with earth. Brunelleschi had linear perspective. Alberti set up the rules for Renaissance painting. Perspective, Sculpture, Architecture. Raphael created the School of Athens with those of the highest authorities doing norm...

Post #2- Raul Cuero I very much agree with Raul Cuero. Being able to innovate is having something added onto, but being able to invent is way more important because we get to be a part of something new.  Everyone can be creative especially those who want to invent something are more creative than those who want to innovate on something that has existed. Everyone has their own creative mind and I agree with what he said over being you and your own inventor.  In my daily life, I can apply what Raul said, by being able to not follow instructions that were given but being able to innovate them and apply and invent new ones that can get me a better end result. Rues to need to be followed but being creative is by following them, but being able to do it in your way.  Notes from short video watched in class: The pheromones are molecules that make a connection when the temperature gets higher.  Information you pick up, you need to apply it to be knowledge, if you don't ...
